Riots in France

Riots enter French politics (AP)

A youth smashes an advertising display during clashes with French police officers at the Gare du Nord Metro station in Paris, Tuesday, March 27, 2007. The standoff between officers and youths left several station windows shattered and seven people were arrested. (AP Photo /Jacques Brinon)AP - It began with a routine ticket check at a Paris train station. What happened next — rioting, looting, tear gas — showed the anger that erupted into violence in France's troubled neighborhoods in 2005 still smolders beneath the surface.

Democracy was modernly invented in France.  It has its setbacks.  Too much freedom and expression leads to mob rule.  Well, the first mob rule was accomplished in Bastille.  And the whole world lauded it.  Take this a complementi.
